Astronomy meets TU Chemnitz
— (1 min read)Last weekend we had the opportunity to participate in a fascinating event: the TUC Tag 2025 at the Chemnitz University of Technology. Together with Andreas Gester, we were able to offer visitors the opportunity to experience astronomy firsthand – with a selection of telescopes and our captures of the universe.
Despite many clouds, the TUC Tag was a great success and our booth always was well-visited. Visitors admired the pictures, learned about the functionality of the various telescopes, and a few lucky guests were even able to take a look at our Sun thanks to white light filters.
As it finally cleared up in the evening, we were able to offer visitors a fascinating way to observe the Moon and Mars through a Celestron SCT8 and a 12” Dobson. Photographically, an 8” Newton and an Askar 103APO were able to show visitors several star clusters and the Feuerrad Galaxie (Messier 101).
We would like to express our big thanks to the TU Chemnitz for this opportunity and look forward to being there again soon!
